ok la. not bad la.

received Economist's "Gulliver's best: business-travel news from Economist.com" this morning in my mailbox, and came across this article: Living it up in Vienna

scroll down.. and you realise that 'in a separate ranking of infrastructure ("based on electricity supply, water availability, telephone and mail services, public transport provision, traffic congestion and the range of international flights from local airports")', Singapore is actually ranked No. 1! (hmm how come the newspapers haven't bragged about it and blow trumpets from the rooftop? =P)

So i clicked on to read further: Quality of Living global city rankings 2009 – Mercer survey

Hmm Singapore's actually the top scoring city in Asia (at 26), improving 6 places since 2008. well after looking at the MRT lines in future and the road networks (i'm trying to get the map of future road networks.. anyone has?), i should say not bad la hor.. in this aspect Sg deserves a (big?) pat on the back.

"thankfully" things like "Worldwide Press Freedom Index" or "Civil Liberties" are not included in this index: see how Singapore fares there.
