Where's the $1?

I am reading really quickly thru' this particular book when i came across this short story... maybe someone can solve the "mystery"? haahaa

It was a dark and stormy night. Seeking refuge from a worsening storm, three men - strangers to each other - race into a small hotel at the same time. The clerk tells the three men that only 1 room is left. A $30 room. The men agreed to share the room. Each man hands the clerk $10.

Minutes after going into the room, there's a knock on the door. It's a bellboy who says, "The desk clerk made a terrible mistake. The room is only $25." The bellboy then placed five $1 bills on a table.

Each man picked up a dollar. The remaining $2 was given to the bellboy as a tip.

The next day, one of the men told the story to his wife. "I originally paid $10, but I got back $1. So I paid $9 and contributed one-third of the $2 tip," he said.

"Wait a minute," she said. "three times the $9 you each paid is $27. And the $2 tip the bellboy got makes it a total $29. What happened to the other $1?"

sorry for the lack of update (well, that's if you care)... lots of things going on at the same time these couple of weeks, and tired is an understatement (not just physically).. somehow i just felt that this is the last true holiday i'll have as a student, therefore there're so many people i'd like to meet, so many things i'd like to do before i begin work... i just wish i'll have (24)^(24) hrs a day so that i can do all that i want to accomplish... sighz.

dat aside. fyp is a pain in my... rear. n the ubz proj is a pain in my... neck. *mumblez*

hope tml will be a better day.

what an "inspiration".

for the past wk and this wk, i was slogging through this course called "Conflict Resolution: Negotiation and Mediation". And I find 2 posters online which somewhat related to the course.



wow. how pragmatic. and how inspirational.

crazy week starts.. tomorrow..

ok july has come, and it does not look like a holiday at all..

6-day module + music ministry training + youth ministry training + meetings + cvcf foc camp + Dr Stephen Tong seminars + 3 sundays hymn leading + 1 sunday leading f'ship programme + researching for fyp... and most of these stuff overlapping with each other, usually taking up my whole day..

God, please give me strength to see all these thru'.
